Boophone disticha


Very peculiar and desirable bulbous plant, with partially above ground bulb, wavy distichous bluish leaves. The inflorescence is spectacular dense umbel of scented pink flowers in the specimens we offer, but can also be red.
It get its Tumbleweed name from the fact that the infrutescence breaks at the stalk junction, blown away by the winds and scattering its seeds along its way.

Large area of distribution in savannahs from Angola, Botswana, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa.
